Amokka® roasts coffee with a Nordic approach, defined by clarity, balance, and an emphasis on the coffee’s inherent qualities. The coffees in this collection have been sourced and roasted to highlight their distinct character, rather than imposing strong roast flavors that mask the origin.

Our roasting philosophy is simple and precise. The coffees we select undergo evaluation to determine the roast level that best brings out their individual characteristics. Typically, this means using lighter roast profiles, which preserve freshness, brightness, and complexity without compromising depth. We do not aim for extremes in roasting; instead, our goal is balanced coffees that clearly represent their origins, variety, and processing methods.

Behind each coffee is careful sourcing. We trade directly with coffee producers, ensuring full traceability and fair compensation. The coffees in this collection originate from a variety of well-known and emerging coffee-producing regions, including Ethiopia, Honduras, Burundi, Peru, Indonesia, and Colombia, among others. Our direct relationships allow us to maintain consistent quality and sustainability at the farm level.

Amokka®’s roasting is managed by Ante Bikic, who has been our head roaster since 2019. Ante has extensive experience within Specialty Coffee, having worked across different roles, including roasting, barista work, coffee judging, and technical roles. His deep understanding of coffee is widely recognized, exemplified by his victory in the 2020 Danish Coffee Roasting Championship. Ante's technical approach to roasting ensures consistency and precision, allowing each coffee’s natural qualities to be clearly expressed in the final cup.

Our coffees include a broad range of taste profiles suitable for various preparation methods, from filter coffee and French press to AeroPress and espresso.
