How We roast coffee


Coffee roasting is the process of heating the coffee cherry seeds to augment aroma and flavor and ultimately increase solubility.

At Amokka, we believe in simplicity and transparency when it comes to roasting coffee. Our philosophy is to let the quality of the beans speak for themselves, rather than relying on any fancy tricks or "secret techniques".

We offer a wide range of roasts, from lighter and fragrant to bold and intense. Our single origin coffees are typically roasted on the lighter side to showcase their unique qualities, such as bright fruit notes, delicate florals, and well-balanced acidity. This allows you to appreciate the distinctive character of each region and variety.

For our blends, we often opt for medium to dark roasts, as this allows us to create a harmonious balance of flavors. By adjusting the composition of the beans, we can craft blends that are rich, smooth, and complex. Whether you prefer a mild and approachable coffee, or something with more body and intensity, you'll find it in our range.
