Coffee from Peru
Peru is known for producing balanced and approachable coffees, often grown by smallholder farmers in remote, mountainous areas. Most Peruvian coffee is organically farmed, grown at high altitudes under shade, and harvested by hand.
Peruvian coffee typically offers mild acidity, a medium body, and gentle sweetness, with subtle flavour notes of nuts, chocolate, caramel, and occasionally delicate fruit notes. Due to Peru’s organic farming practices and diverse microclimates, the country has increasingly gained attention from Specialty Coffee roasters worldwide.
